Research and Teaching Role - Economic Psychology

Our department is dedicated to exploring and educating on topics related to economic psychology, particularly focusing on leadership dynamics. A significant area of our research involves Public Value studies, where we investigate the psychological underpinnings and impacts of effective leadership within both established organizations and emerging startups. In today's landscape, leaders face the pressing need to justify their entrepreneurial choices socially and to align their strategies with the major challenges of our era. Fostering innovation and growth necessitates a culture rooted in appreciation and trust. The Leipziger Leadership Model serves as a foundational framework for this, which is also utilized in our coaching initiatives. We engage in collaborations with esteemed scholars from national and international institutions, as well as with partners from industry, public sectors, and leading management consulting firms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in both conceptual and empirical research as part of the project 'From a Common Good Orientation to a Common Good Contribution' in collaboration with DB InfraGO AG. Your cumulative dissertation will be a crucial component of this initiative.
  • Assist in various teaching events and provide supervision to students during their master's projects and practical experiences.
Required Qualifications
  • A completed or soon-to-be-completed master's degree in psychology, economics, or social sciences, demonstrating a strong interest in common good topics and possessing a solid methodological foundation (qualitative or quantitative).
  • A collaborative team player with a positive outlook and a genuine enthusiasm for academic pursuits.
  • Proactive, dedicated, and possessing a strong work ethic.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
