Position Overview - Research and Education in Economic Psychology

The focus of our department is on the exploration and instruction of economic psychology topics, particularly regarding leadership behaviors. A significant area of our research is centered on Public Value, where we investigate the psychological underpinnings and impacts of effective leadership within both established enterprises and emerging startups. In today's landscape, leaders face the imperative to socially justify their business decisions and align their strategies with the pressing challenges of our era. Fostering innovation and growth necessitates a culture rooted in appreciation and trust. The Leipziger Leadership Model serves as a foundational framework, which is integrated into our coaching initiatives. We engage in collaboration with esteemed academics from both national and international arenas, as well as with industry leaders, public sector organizations, and top-tier management consulting firms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in both theoretical and empirical research within the project 'From a Common Good Orientation to a Common Good Contribution' in partnership with DB InfraGO AG. Your cumulative dissertation will be a vital component of this initiative.
  • Assist in various educational events and provide supervision for students during their master's and practical assignments.
Required Qualifications
  • A completed or nearly completed master's degree in psychology, economics, or social sciences, with a keen interest in common good topics and a robust methodological foundation (qualitative or quantitative).
  • A collaborative spirit with a positive outlook and a genuine enthusiasm for academic pursuits.
  • Proactive, dedicated, and possessing a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in both German and English (written and spoken).
