TasksYour Responsibilities
- Overseeing the development of comprehensive test plans and test cases, leveraging existing documentation and guiding a QA intern.
- Evaluating test requirements to pinpoint potential ambiguities and defects, thus facilitating early bug prevention strategies.
- Identifying, classifying, and documenting bugs throughout the execution of test plans.
- Engaging in regular updates on test progress and outcomes, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
- Contributing to risk assessments following test completion, with assistance from a QA intern.
- Providing recommendations for releases.
- Proficient in the JIRA system for logging findings and understanding the prioritization process in collaboration with the Lead Game Designer.
What You Need to Succeed
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a QA Manager in the gaming industry, with a preference for VR gaming.
- A strong passion for gaming, with an in-depth understanding of the VR gaming landscape.
- Robust technical expertise and a genuine enthusiasm for quality assurance.
- At least 3 years of experience utilizing bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA).
- A self-organized and structured work approach, capable of navigating outside predefined solutions.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and organize your workday efficiently.
- Analytical skills to quickly identify inconsistencies and issues in tasks.
- Fluency in English is required, with German as a plus.
- Solid knowledge of a scripting or programming language, as well as experience with databases.
