Job Title: Senior Software Engineering

At Flink, we're on a mission to give people back time by optimizing our order fulfillment process. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in helping our team develop and maintain our backend services and microservices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take a leadership role in feature development and maintenance across our backend services and microservices.
  • Participate in discussions and planning of new features.
  • Closely collaborate with other teams to deliver value to our end users.
  • Influence the technical landscape by driving the adoption of best practices and multiplying engineering output that drives business impact.
  • Contribute to scaling up our backend team and bringing great talents on board by conducting interviews and code pairing sessions.
  • Ship your code using Kubernetes and monitor using DataDog.
Requirements:
  • Experience building scalable and reliable large-scale applications.
  • 5 years of commercial experience as a Senior Engineer with expertise in Go, Java, TypeScript, or other OO or functional languages.
  • Familiarity with optimization algorithms or techniques, and in particular with the challenges of applying them in real-world settings.
  • Previous experience of architectural input into the design and build of a backend application/product/feature.
  • Comfortable with event-based communication between microservices.
  • Familiarity with data storage and message brokering tools such as Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Experience using cloud provider platforms like GCP or AWS, and deploying distributed services to Kubernetes.
