As a Senior Calibration Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge software for our Mobile Mapping Systems (MMS). Your expertise will help us create photorealistic digital twins of physical spaces, empowering our customers to build better.
The Opportunity
You'll join our Mapping and Perception department, collaborating closely with a diverse team of professionals who share your passion for delivering top-class mapping solutions. Together, you'll elevate our software solutions, used in mapping entire buildings and creating realistic 3D representations based on cutting-edge technology in the area of robotics.
Your Impact
- You'll be responsible for building, testing, improving, and maintaining the software and processes to calibrate our MMS.
- You'll be deeply involved in the full life-cycle of the calibration process from ideation to roll-out into production.
- You'll collaborate closely with our production team to identify, escalate, and resolve issues with our calibration processes and tools.
- You'll have a key responsibility of creating, maintaining, and improving the technical documentation for calibration.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar.
- At least 3+ years of experience in the field of calibration of sensors in general and ideally experience with sensors and sensor models for cameras, laser scanners/LIDARs, and IMUs.
- Expertise in C++ development and related tools in a professional context as well as good coding skills in Python.
- Proficiency in using Linux and the command line.
- Your passion for data quality and improving processes as well as workflows will be useful throughout the calibration process.
