We are seeking a People Partner (HR Business Partner) for Contract Logistics in Germany (m/f/d).

In this role, you will work alongside a diverse group of colleagues committed to our core values, striving to deliver exceptional service to our customers and communities. You will report functionally to the Lead People Partner and engage with multiple stakeholders across Maersk, particularly within the Contract Logistics sector. In a matrix organization, you will partner with leaders, Strategic HR Business Partners, and the regional employee experience team to ensure effective execution of agreed-upon people strategies.
As our People Partner, you will collaborate closely with the Area Head of Fulfilled by Maersk North Europe and site leaders to develop world-class Contract Logistics capabilities that support our strategic objectives, including multiple site openings in the coming years. You will lead the implementation of People & Organization strategies aimed at attracting, hiring, developing, and retaining top-tier talent, ensuring an optimized organizational structure supported by an engaging workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership teams to co-manage the people agenda for Contract Logistics and Landside operations, facilitating the planned exponential growth over the next five years.
- Partner with regional Fulfilled by Maersk leaders to set both short- and long-term objectives that drive business success while ensuring alignment with the people agenda.
- Serve as a partner and coach to leaders and site managers, aiding them in enhancing their leadership impact and driving succession planning for key roles.
- Support leaders throughout the annual HR cycle and collaborate with deployment teams to ensure effective implementation of HR processes.
- Promote a culture where Maersk's values and behaviors are integral to business decision-making.
- Provide guidance on Industrial and Labour Relations in coordination with local experts, leveraging knowledge of Trade Unions and Workers Councils to mitigate risks and comply with local legislation.
- Assist leaders in building high-performing teams prepared for future logistics needs, fostering a culture of high performance and addressing performance improvement areas.
- Work with regional HR Business Partners to ensure timely and effective execution of people plans, while influencing global design teams to tailor solutions for the logistics organization.
- Collaborate with Rewards colleagues to ensure competitive compensation packages that reflect market standards, particularly for critical roles and skills.
- Actively contribute to a collaborative culture within the HR function, participating in projects that shape Maersk's future HR policies and processes based on evolving business needs.
Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience (8-10 years) as an HR generalist or People Partner, preferably within the logistics sector, with a solid grasp of HR fundamentals including recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, and labor relations.
- A strong background in managing frontline operational employees in high-performing organizations.
- Advanced knowledge of local labor laws and experience in unionized settings.
- Resilience and maturity in navigating change and achieving results in challenging circumstances.
- Experience in large international organizations, with the ability to build relationships and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong business acumen and data analytics capabilities.
- Proficient change management, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Experience in entrepreneurial or start-up environments is advantageous.
- A proactive approach, taking ownership while fostering collaboration and teamwork to develop solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
