Key Responsibilities

As a Command Electrical Engineering Advisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the electrical engineering initiatives for the 2nd Theater Signal Brigade. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and directing the electrical engineering program, ensuring effective planning and execution of projects.
  • Coordinating the construction, installation, modification, and rehabilitation of telecommunication facilities, including power distribution systems and air conditioning layouts.
  • Utilizing advanced diagnostic and monitoring equipment across Europe to address complex electrical challenges.
  • Preparing detailed documentation and guidelines for U.S. Military Construction Organizations to aid in facility design.
  • Evaluating equipment and facility adequacy, and reviewing construction estimates and specifications for compliance.
  • Maintaining up-to-date progress schedules for electrical power and cooling systems in telecommunication projects.
  • Providing expert advice on electrical power issues and overseeing maintenance of emergency backup systems.
  • Participating in meetings and conferences to offer staff assistance on electrical engineering matters.
Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduates from a Fachhochschule, Berufsakademie, or Technische Hochschule in the relevant engineering discipline, recognized by German authorities.
  • Foreign applicants must obtain equivalent certification from German authorities.
  • Driver's license class B is preferred.
  • Language proficiency in English and German at Level C1 is required.
