EMEA Logistics Operations Specialist

Position Overview

As the EMEA Logistics Operations Specialist at Brooks Sports, you will oversee and manage the daily logistics and transportation functions essential for the efficient distribution of Brooks products across the EMEA region. Your role will involve collaborating with the EMEA Logistics team on various tasks, including vendor exception management, shipment processing, and documentation for both export and import activities. You will play a crucial role in supporting the global supply chain by working closely with various departments such as Trade Compliance, Distribution, Finance, and Operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise international transportation logistics, including domestic inbound deliveries to the EMEA distribution center.
  • Facilitate foreign-to-foreign transportation for EMEA customer orders.
  • Assist in managing global sample programs for footwear and apparel.
  • Coordinate third-country export shipments from the EMEA region, ensuring all necessary documentation and delivery arrangements are in place.
  • Serve as a backup contact for all courier service-related inquiries within the EMEA Operations department.
  • Support Logistics Specialists by reviewing freight invoices and related billing from service providers.
  • Validate and approve vendor and international distributor invoices using GT Nexus.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures, manuals, and logistics documentation.
  • Compile and analyze data for performance measurement and quality management reports.
  • Assist in coordinating international transportation and shipment operations as required.
  • Generate reports from M3 to support the Logistics team.
  • Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, international studies, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in international trade, logistics, or transportation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Fluent in both German and English; proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with EMEA bonded warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of incoterms 2020, harmonized tariffs, and international trade regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and making informed decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
  • Attention to detail in planning and executing tasks while maintaining a holistic view of operations.
  • Ability to foresee the impact of decisions on customers, partners, and internal operations.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement in processes and products.
