Team/Division Overview:

The global trading team at DWS is essential for executing investment decisions. Our operations span three key regions: EMEA, US, and APAC.

We are currently seeking a trader to support our Equities team in the EMEA region, based in Frankfurt.

Role Responsibilities:

As a trader within the Equities team, you will be tasked with negotiating and executing trades and trading strategies across a wide spectrum of equity cash, derivatives, and hybrid products, ensuring optimal execution for our clients. Depending on the type of instrument and associated risks, you will systematically apply the best execution strategies across various channels and liquidity pools.

You will maintain close relationships with stakeholders to understand their requirements and play a vital role in adding value through your market expertise and analysis of pre- and post-trade data to enhance execution results. Additionally, you will assist the team in the ongoing development and refinement of our platforms, driving our efficiency initiatives. Collaboration with all stakeholders, support functions, and management of relationships with external counterparties will be key aspects of your role.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • In-depth knowledge of equity cash and derivative products, including pricing, risk sensitivities, and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in quantitative analysis and technology.
  • A high level of initiative and curiosity.
  • Experience with programming languages (preferably Python, SQL, JavaScript).
  • Aptitude for statistical programming languages to analyze and clean data, extract insights from large datasets, and visualize results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and demonstrate resilience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
