Senior Power Electronics Engineer

At AVL Software and Functions GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Inverter System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Powertrain Software and Function Development department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative power electronics systems for e-mobility and e-drive applications.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement system concepts and requirements for power electronics, ensuring compliance with safety standards (ISO6469, ISO26262, etc.)
- Participate in system architecture development, collaborating with other system experts to create efficient and reliable power electronics systems
- Design and develop technical safety concepts related to safety functions of an inverter, ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability
- Collaborate with software and hardware experts to incorporate and discuss new solutions and strategies for power electronics systems
- Define and execute test cases for integration and functional system tests on various test systems (HiL, PHiL, Testbed)
- Support with technical knowledge in executing safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, DFA)
- Support with own technical expertise in developing new technologies in the field of e-mobility and e-drive
- Support in project planning, budget tracking, and timeline definition in R&D and customer projects
- Conduct technical discussions with customers to ensure their needs are met
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of e-mobility and e-drive development
- Experience in functional safety is an advantage
- Experience with UML-based architecture tools (Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, SysML, etc.) and lifecycle management tools (Windchill, DOORS, Codebeamer, etc.)
- Very good knowledge of hardware and software systems
- High level of communication and teamwork skills
- High analytical and conceptual skills
- Very good knowledge of English, good knowledge of German is an advantage
