Senior Engineer (f/m/d) Grid Integration of Power Electronic Converters

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team in Regensburg, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop control algorithms for the grid integration of power electronic converters
  • Generate reports, papers, and IP on the control of power electronic converters
  • Create automatic code, DLLs, and APIs from your control algorithms
  • Mentor less experienced engineers
  • Develop interfaces and scripts for MATLAB
  • Interact with tools, backend, frontend, HIL, VHDL, and embedded system colleagues
  • Create requirement documents
  • Use modern lifecycle management and CI/CD tools
Requirements:
  • PhD degree in control engineering, electrical engineering, or energy technology with deep knowledge in grid integration of power electronic converters
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Deep understanding of grid feeding, grid forming, and grid codes compliance
  • Good knowledge of power electronics topologies, modular multilevel converters, and medium/high voltage applications
  • Knowledge of resonant converters, DAB, OBC is a plus
  • Very good understanding of system and software architecture
  • Experience in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Lifecycle management tools (Integrity, Doors, Atlassian) and version control
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and writing, another EU language is a plus
