Your role at NTT DATA
The main goal of this position is to oversee a team of Services Sales Directors, driving the execution of sales strategies and achieving operational targets and profit margins for the Managed Services (MS) product portfolio. This role encompasses executive management, coaching, and leadership activities aimed at empowering the MS function to meet its strategic objectives and targets.This position directs a significant portion of the organization’s sales operations, which may include specific channels, product lines, major accounts, or regions. The scope of responsibility may be global or confined to a particular area. The role may involve developing sales strategies and forecasts for a substantial segment of the sales function. Typically, this position has Director-level reports and oversees global channel sales, major accounts, and global sales/services for a key product or service line.
This position can be fulfilled from any of our European offices.
Responsibilities
Key Duties:
Foster a culture of success and continuous achievement of business goals. Assess market and client needs related to Managed Services in the designated region, aligned with global priorities. Establish an effective sales force structure and manage budget allocations. Lead the regional development and implementation of the Group Services Product and Managed Services portfolio vision and roadmap. Enhance the region's alignment with global services, standards, and service architectures. Serve as the liaison between regional GTM Sales Directors, Client Partners, and Product Development teams. Supervise a team of sales directors responsible for meeting MS Sales targets. Own the profit and loss for Managed Services, including revenue, operating profit, and related TCV GP of MS bookings. Cultivate key customer relationships and engage in closing strategic opportunities. Organize and prioritize multiple work outputs, continuously reviewing objectives and goals. Develop aggressive account strategies for MS accounts and support revenue generation opportunities. Formulate and ensure the execution of the sales strategy, influencing people, processes, and technology.Skills and Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of industry verticals and Managed Services solutions. Strong management and leadership capabilities with strategic thinking. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders at different levels. Significant financial acumen, with the ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and manage team budgets. Proficient in business negotiation, influence, conflict resolution, and political acumen. Exceptional presentation skills, innovative thinking, and a strong client-oriented approach. Resourceful and able to handle pressure in critical situations while meeting client requirements. Knowledgeable in service industry models, delivery processes, and Managed Services offerings. Familiar with core Managed Service Portfolio artifacts, techniques, and tools. Ability to understand customer perspectives and service needs. High-achieving, ambitious, and results-driven. Innovative, generating original solutions and ideas. Decisive and comfortable making quick decisions.Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree with substantial experience; or a postgraduate degree with significant leadership and management experience. Certification and working knowledge of ITIL, Service Management, and Integration. Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP).Experience Required:
Extensive experience and understanding of Managed Services deliverables and value propositions. Experience coordinating sales teams within a similar industry, focusing on Managed Services. Strong understanding of IT Service Management and operations. Significant client engagement and consulting experience, with expertise in needs assessment and change management. Extensive experience with relevant services and products, along with knowledge of industry best practices. Proven sales and client engagement experience. Strong vendor relationship management skills to understand vendor products and services. Familiarity with SAFe/Scrum/Agile methodologies. Experience in business development and pre-sales activities. Strong technical background. Comprehensive understanding of the IT industry environment and business needs, combined with sales methodologies and processes.
