Category Manager for Battery Storage Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to lead our strategic purchasing efforts for electrical equipment, primarily battery storage and power plant control systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating offers, negotiating contracts, and developing a joint product group strategy with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic purchasing of electrical equipment, focusing on battery storage and power plant control systems
- Development of a joint product group strategy with suppliers
- Carrying out tenders, including those via an eSourcing system
- Preparation of technical and commercial offer comparisons
- Contract negotiations with suppliers
- Closely collaborating with foreign companies within the BELECTRIC Group
- Cooperation with colleagues from Category Management Electrical Equipment & Battery Storage Systems
- Strategic alignment of procurement for electrical equipment, focusing on new technologies
We are looking for a candidate with a commercial or technical background, preferably in industrial engineering, business administration, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification. Initial experience in contract management is a plus. You should have good knowledge of MS Office and experience working with ERP systems. Very good knowledge of German and English is required.
