Clinical Researcher in Pediatric Personalized Medicine

We are seeking a dedicated individual for a PhD MSCA clinical research position focused on personalized medicine for children suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD). This role involves significant contributions to ongoing research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Outcome Collection: Engage in the collection of long-term patient outcomes as part of the 4C-Track study, an extension of the Cardiovascular Comorbidity in Children with CKD cohort study.
- Data and Biosample Collection: Actively participate in the ongoing esCapeKD cohort study, focusing on children with CKD.
- Biomarker Measurement: Conduct measurements of biomarkers in serum and urine, following comprehensive technical training at the research laboratory.
- Data Management: Oversee data management and perform biostatistical analysis at the ESCAPE Clinical Data Center.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with partner laboratories within the MSCA Doctoral Network, including planned secondments.
- A Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, clinical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with clinical-epidemiological research principles and a keen interest in multicenter clinical research within a European network.
- Knowledge of statistics and programming skills in R, Python, and SQL are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a C1-level proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills in French, Italian, Turkish, or German are a plus.
This position offers goal-oriented training and development opportunities, including specialization in clinical research, biomarker discovery and validation, and advanced statistical methodologies. There is also the potential for pursuing a doctorate.
Team DynamicsRegular team meetings and interdisciplinary cooperation with academic and commercial research teams specializing in wet-lab and AI-based biomarker discovery will be integral to this role. Opportunities for (partial) project management or project responsibility may also be available for suitable candidates.
