Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Integration Test Engineer (f/m/d) to join our dynamic team at Tintschl AG. Our client, a pioneering aviation company based in Germany, is dedicated to the development of innovative electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate test requests and collaborate with the design team for refinement.
  • Coordinate with testing specialists across various departments, including Propulsion, Energy, and Flight Testing.
  • Determine instrumentation needs in accordance with aircraft, system, and sub-system specifications.
  • Design and construct bespoke testing equipment for data acquisition, measurement, and failure injection, including the creation of associated procedures and documentation.
  • Analyze test concepts utilizing idealization of physical effects and fundamental reasoning.
  • Develop intricate test rigs and setups while managing support teams (software, mechanical & electrical CAD, technicians & electricians) and key suppliers.
  • Oversee E-Motor Test Benches and critical Powertrain Distribution Units as part of essential Integration Test Benches.
  • Take charge of vital components within the system verification cycle.
  • Conduct test executions using automated testing tools and measurement equipment for verification and validation tasks.
  • Assess test reports and results thoroughly.
  • Generate Failure Analysis Reports and defect documentation as necessary.
  • Communicate and discuss test outcomes with the system development team.
  • Engage in additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of testing experience.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with multi-kW electrical machines and drives is advantageous.
  • Experience in High Voltage System Integration Labs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ARINC 661, ARINC 653, and ARINC 664 is a plus.
  • Experience in test and test rig instrumentation, execution, and data processing.
  • Knowledge of electrical and communication architectures.
  • Understanding of network protocols including CAN, ARINC, RS422/485, UART, and Ethernet.
  • Comprehension of mechatronics fundamentals related to sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with a target-oriented work style.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German or other languages is beneficial.
