Join Our Team as a Test Integration Specialist

Your Role:

  • You will assess testing requests and collaborate closely with the design team to refine processes.
  • You will engage with testing professionals across various departments, including Propulsion, Energy, and Flight Testing.
  • You will identify instrumentation needs based on aircraft, system, and sub-system specifications.
  • You will design and create custom testing equipment for data collection, measurement, and failure simulation, including the development of procedures and documentation.
  • You will evaluate testing concepts, applying idealization of physical effects and fundamental reasoning.
  • You will develop intricate test rigs and setups, coordinating with our support teams (software, mechanical and electrical CAD, technicians, and electricians), while managing key suppliers.
  • You will take ownership of E-Motor Test Benches and critical Powertrain Distribution Units, ensuring thorough system verification.
  • You will execute tests using automated tools and measurement devices for verification and validation, analyzing test reports and results.
  • You will generate Failure Analysis Reports and defect documentation as necessary, discussing outcomes with the system development team.
  • You will undertake any additional tasks or projects assigned by management.

Your Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in testing methodologies.
  • Ideally, a strong background in multi-kW electrical machines and drives, as well as experience in HV System Integration Labs.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ARINC 661, ARINC 653, and ARINC 664.
  • Proficiency in test rig instrumentation, execution, and data analysis, along with knowledge of electrical and communication architectures.
  • A solid understanding of network protocols, including CAN, ARINC, RS422/485, UART, and Ethernet, along with foundational knowledge in mechatronics concerning sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Proficient in both German and English.
