Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Specialist in Safety, Health, and Environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive SHE-related investigations, analyses, inspections, and documentation.
  • Develop and issue internal guidelines as required.
  • Aggregate and oversee site SHE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain close collaboration with the SHE Country Leader to evaluate necessary countermeasures and escalate issues when needed.
  • Execute the SHE Site strategy effectively.
  • Manage administrative SHE reporting and related tasks.
  • Prepare and assist in the SHE site status report and proposed countermeasures.
  • Disseminate SHE-related information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor adherence to water and electricity consumption targets.
  • Oversee waste management and recycling initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legal requirements and permits.
  • Inspect chemical storage areas to mitigate environmental risks.
  • Facilitate environmental training sessions.
  • Develop and implement an environmental emergency response plan.
  • Conduct internal audits pertaining to the environmental management system.
  • Report and investigate environmental incidents to the site SHE manager.
  • Perform safety inspections and ergonomic assessments.
  • Manage work permits and equipment releases.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and permits.
  • Conduct safety drills and analyze accident trends.
  • Oversee the control of protective equipment.
  • Facilitate safety-related training programs.
  • Implement health awareness campaigns.
  • Report and investigate work-related incidents to the site SHE manager.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Engineering or a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Energy, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • Experience in Safety, Health, and Environment or Energy sectors is advantageous.
  • Language Proficiency: French and English.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated social and intercultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to manage change effectively.
