About the Role

HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Solutions Architect to join our team in Oberkochen, Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and revise customer requirements to create technical specifications for complex systems.
  • Select and specify subsystems for interdisciplinary teams or external contractors.
  • Support cost estimates for offer preparation in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Develop solutions with system engineers, considering costs, quality, and time.
  • Coordinate with business units on future system requirements, norms, and standards.
  • Develop measures for introducing methodologies and regulatory requirements in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to defining module-based sensor architecture with the Smart Sensors and Laser Applications departments.
  • Support the department in defining future specialist skills required in interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in systems engineering, communications engineering, high-frequency engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
  • Several years of experience in systems engineering of complex systems and products.
  • Sound experience in handling developments with and for external partners.
  • Very good knowledge of digital high-speed solutions and embedded systems.
  • Very good knowledge of production technologies in the field of RF electronics.
  • Knowledge of other technical disciplines such as software and optics and their interaction in products.
  • Strong methodological skills in solution and decision making.
  • Business fluent in German and English.
