About the Role

HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH is seeking a Solutions Architect Hardware to join our team in Oberkochen, Aalen branch. As a key member of our Ground & Naval Solutions department, you will be responsible for designing technical solutions for our land and sea-based products.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and revise customer requirements to create technical specifications for overall systems.
  • Select, coordinate, and specify self-contained subsystems for interdisciplinary teams or external contractors.
  • Support cost estimates for offer preparation in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Create presentations for customers and the business unit, and participate in customer meetings to explain complex system relationships.
  • Develop solutions with system engineers, considering costs, quality, and time.
  • Coordinate with business units on future system requirements, norms, standards, and laws.
  • Develop measures for introducing methodologies, regulatory, and legal requirements in interdisciplinary teams with the Engineering Services department.
  • Contribute to defining a module-based sensor architecture with the Smart Sensors and Laser Applications departments.
  • Support the department in defining future specialist skills required in interdisciplinary teams for hardware development.

Your Profile

  • Degree in systems engineering, communications engineering, high-frequency engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
  • Several years of experience in systems engineering of complex systems and products.
  • Experience in handling developments with and for external partners.
  • Ideal experience in coordinating with international and intercultural customers.
  • Good knowledge of digital high-speed solutions and embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of production technologies in RF electronics.
  • Knowledge of other technical disciplines such as software and optics and their interaction in products.
  • Strong methodological skills in solution and decision making, ideally supported by Six Sigma training.
  • Structured, self-organized, business-oriented way of thinking and working.
  • Business fluent in German and English.
