Energy Efficiency Consultant

Position Overview
The role of the Sustainability and Energy Consultant involves:
- Executing comprehensive, investment-grade energy assessments that lead to the identification of energy-saving opportunities and the formulation of a compelling investment case.
- Leading cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious objectives such as global Net Positive or Science Based Targets implementation strategies.
- Providing critical insights, forecasting future trends, and articulating the business value of sustainability, with a focus on future value generation.
- Producing thought leadership content to enhance client engagement and ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovative practices.
- Building and nurturing relationships with a diverse range of institutional investors and corporate clients.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A Master's degree in building engineering, environmental science, or a related engineering field.
- 2-5 years of experience in energy efficiency, energy auditing, performance contracting, building optimization, or low carbon design.
- Conducting energy audits and evaluating clients' energy sources over previous years.
- Strong analytical skills to develop a consistent and scalable approach to ESG data collection, validation, and reporting.
- Delivering high-quality, engaging, and client-ready outputs in a meticulous manner.
- A proven ability to independently manage and review deliverables across multiple work streams with minimal oversight.
- Experience in leading a team of analysts.
- Demonstrated project management skills and excellent communication abilities.
- A genuine passion for addressing climate change and advancing the sustainability agenda.
- Fluency in German is essential; candidates who do not speak German will not be considered.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in implementing measurement and verification (M&V) programs in accordance with IPMVP standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 50001 project delivery.
- Experience in executing complex, pan-European carbon reduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of various sustainability reporting frameworks such as CDP, GRESB, CRREM, GRI, PRI, IFC, and Equator Principles.
- Experience with TCFD and ESG Materiality Assessments and reporting methodologies.
- Involvement in initiatives like CDP, GRESB, ESOS, Science Based Targets, and Net Positive strategies.
- Understanding of European legislation related to building performance.
- Proficiency in a third language, preferably French.
