Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Economic Analyst Intern to join our team at Charles River Associates. As an Economic Analyst Intern, you will work closely with senior staff on projects across various industries, gaining a deeper understanding of what it's like to work as an economist at CRA.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify potential issues and develop economic arguments;
- Assemble and present compelling evidence from data and research to support expert opinions and business recommendations;
- Develop and implement statistical models and regression analyses using programming languages such as Stata, Python, or R;
- Collaborate with senior staff to develop and present client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers;
- Communicate complex economic concepts and arguments to internal teams in a clear and concise manner;
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses and opinions.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or PhD/DPhil degree in Economics or a related field;
- Strong foundation in microeconomics, with a specialization in industrial economics and/or econometrics;
- German language fluency is essential;
- High degree of numeracy and comfort with data manipulation are essential, with familiarity with econometric techniques desirable;
- Relevant research experience;
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership;
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities;
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills;
- Clear and demonstrated interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, or activities.
