Opportunities for Economists

This internship mirrors our full-time analyst role, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with senior staff on projects across various industries. The internship duration is usually three to six months, with flexible start dates throughout the year. Interns will gain a deeper understanding of what it's like to work as an economist at CRA. A typical Intern may:

• Identify potential issues and conduct analyses to support economic arguments;
• Assemble compelling evidence from data and research to illustrate expert opinions and business recommendations;
• Program, build models, and perform regression analyses in statistical analysis programs, including large data projects requiring cloud computing;
• Assist in the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers summarizing opinions, conclusions, and recommendations using financial, market, industry, or client-proprietary data;
• Communicate complex economic concepts and arguments to internal teams in an understandable manner;
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.

Requirements

• Candidates studying economics at Master's or PhD/DPhil level;
• Strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialization in industrial economics and/or econometrics;
• German language fluency essential;
• High degree of numeracy and comfort with data manipulation are essential, familiarity with econometric techniques desirable;
• Relevant research experience;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership;
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities;
• Excellent time management and task prioritization skills;
• Clear and demonstrated interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, or activities.
