Operations Strategy Specialist

Position Overview:

As a key player in defense operations, you possess the ability to navigate complex scenarios with a unique perspective. Your analytical skills enable you to address challenges that others may overlook. We are seeking a seasoned professional to devise strategies that enhance our national security efforts.

In the role of a Technical Operations Planner, you will leverage your expertise to support initiatives for a Department of Defense client. Your responsibilities will include conducting, coordinating, and synthesizing analysis and planning to bolster special operations strategies, activities, and targeting processes. You will serve as a trusted consultant, tasked with identifying, analyzing, and assessing intricate systems and policies, while developing comprehensive plans and integrating capabilities into various formats, including visual, written, and verbal presentations.

You will participate in meetings and represent the client office to both internal and interagency stakeholders, ensuring cohesive efforts and coordinated strategies. Your insights will be crucial in shaping strategic and operational plans with minimal oversight, allowing you to maintain situational awareness by collaborating with a network of military and civilian professionals across various operational theaters.

Your expertise will guide our efforts in delivering effective solutions for military missions and strategic defense planning.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operational planning at a 2-star command or higher, including Service or Geographic Combatant Command.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Special Technical Operations (STO) and Special Access Program (SAP) planning.
  • Familiarity with Planning and Decision Aid System (PDAS).
  • Proven experience in developing and presenting information and decision briefs to senior leaders, articulating complex scientific data for non-expert decision-makers.
  • Experience in coordinating SAP activities and plans.
  • Knowledge of cyber, electronic warfare, and space operations.
  • Ability to collaborate with a network of cyber and electronic warfare professionals.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Special Operations.
  • Background in planning within the European operational context.
  • Completion of any Joint or Service Special Technical Operations Planner course.
  • Completion of any Joint or Service targeting course.

Security Clearance:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
