About Your Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at DESY. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for performing time-resolved experiments with cutting-edge ultrafast pump-probe setups using strong-field lasers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and conducting experiments to study photo-induced electron dynamics in molecules
  • Developing innovative data analysis protocols and collaborating with theory research groups
  • Co-supervising a team of Doctoral candidates and undergraduate students
  • Contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge by publishing research findings in esteemed peer-reviewed international journals
  • Participating in scientific conferences and symposiums, presenting research results to the global scientific community

About You:

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with a Ph.D. in physics or a relevant field. Experience in ultrafast laser science, strong-field physics, attosecond science, and molecular spectroscopy is essential. Strong background in ultrafast lasers, time-resolved spectroscopy, and high-harmonic generation is required.

As a successful candidate, you will have a strong track record of research experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
