Senior Scientist in Low-Level Radio Frequency Systems Design and Operation

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to lead our Low-Level Radio Frequency (LLRF) systems research and development effort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and operating state-of-the-art resonance controls for narrow bandwidth superconducting cavities.
Your expertise in control systems, feedback controller designs, and optimisation will be crucial in developing innovative solutions for our LLRF systems. You will also supervise postdoctoral researchers and PhD students, collaborate with industrial partners, and plan research activities and tests.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the LLRF R&D effort for the European High Duty Cycle (HDC) upgrade programme
- Design and operate state-of-the-art resonance controls for narrow bandwidth superconducting cavities
- Supervise postdoctoral researchers and PhD students
- Collaborate with industrial partners
- Plan research activities and tests
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist with a strong background in electrical engineering, physics, or computer science. You should have a PhD degree and/or several years of experience in an accelerator research facility. Your expertise in LLRF systems, control systems, and resonance control is essential for this role.
