Senior Development Engineer for Laboratory Disposables

Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our core R&D team at our headquarters in Hilden, Germany. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing laboratory disposables for our QIAGEN products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative plastic assemblies with external partners
- Complete documentation of plastic assembly development, adhering to IVD standards
- Further develop technology for laboratory disposables, including research, feasibility studies, patent screening, and patent development
- Design and implement new testing and analysis systems for complex plastic articles
Requirements
- At least 3 years' experience in developing complex plastic assemblies, preferably in medical technology or diagnostics
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistics and test planning
- Innovative personality with a track record of driving technological advancements
- Ability to work independently and take on laboratory and workshop tasks
- Fluent English and German, written and spoken
