Position Overview

We are in search of a motivated and seasoned Sales Director to spearhead our sales initiatives throughout the EMEA region. In this pivotal leadership position, you will oversee a team of Sales Managers and Specialists, driving growth and expanding market share for Evident Scientific's sophisticated product offerings. Reporting directly to the Global Sales VP, you will be tasked with formulating and executing strategic sales plans that align with our overarching business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing sales team across the EMEA region.
  • Establish annual sales frameworks and strategies for regions, sales teams, and territory managers, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Craft and execute localized business strategies in accordance with global directives to achieve sustainable growth.
  • Coordinate and implement annual marketing strategies and sales activities across all customer segments.

Sales and Market Expansion:

  • Oversee the pipeline of opportunities to ensure precise order entry forecasts and stimulate regional sales growth.
  • Proactively identify market opportunities and devise strategies to enhance market penetration and upsell existing contracts.
  • Support strategic accounts and solution selling within targeted customer segments.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Monitor and assess sales team performance, including activities, product mix, conversion rates, and prospecting effectiveness.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage the sales process and ensure effective deal closure.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Maintain robust relationships with key customers and stakeholders, providing ongoing needs assessment and feedback to upper management.
  • Coordinate promotional initiatives and new product launches in collaboration with marketing and product development teams.
Qualifications

Education:

  • A university degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Several years of professional experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within a scientific or medical B2B context.
  • A proven track record in strategic selling and market development within a matrix organization.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent technical understanding and interest in complex technologies.
  • Proficient in KPI and performance management, with extensive knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Experienced with growth room dashboards and other business tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and a high degree of flexibility for international travel.
