Senior Android Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Software Engineer to join our client, a leading industry player in payment technology solutions for commercial customers in the transport sector globally.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented engineering team in Hamburg, Germany, and contribute to the development of innovative Android apps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer requirements and create detailed technical specifications.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy fully-featured native Android apps.
  • Maintain and update internal technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, testing, design, and project management teams.
  • Report on project performance, suggest corrective actions, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on software engineering advancements and best practices.
  • Comply with company policies, including code of conduct and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering).
  • At least B2 level German language proficiency.
  • Experience in developing native Android apps with Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK.
  • Strong understanding of Android architecture, MVVM, and Material Design.
  • Experience with clean code practices, SOLID principles, and legacy app maintenance.
  • Proficiency in unit and automated testing, including UI testing.
  • Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and RESTful services.
  • Experience integrating CI pipelines with App Testing Services.
  • Knowledge of Cross Platform App development with ReactNative.
