Position Overview:

As an Electrical Engineer for Train Systems in Hennigsdorf, Germany, you will embark on a pivotal career journey.

Key Responsibilities:

In your role within the project engineering team, you will oversee all electrical engineering deliverables while managing a multi-disciplinary team effectively.

Your Mission:

You will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring Quality, Cost, and Delivery of S&A and EHI deliverables, including:
  • T Phase:
    • Conducting carry-over analysis for electrical products to identify reusable components from previous projects.
    • Managing NRC costing and workload assessments.
    • Contributing to engineering planning with a comprehensive view of end-to-end processes alongside Industrialization and Manufacturing.
    • Participating in the definition of Product Development Objectives (PDO).
    • Staying informed about Project Input Objectives (PIO).
    • Making critical technology choices.
    • Defining architectural elements such as equipment cubicle content, positioning, pathways, and break zones.
  • S Phase:
    • Contributing to the definition of the scope of supply between Train and Sub-Systems.
    • Overseeing electrical deliverables until the System General Review (SGR).
  • Next Phases:
    • Facilitating interfaces between the Project and Center of Excellence (CoE) for electrical engineering.
    • Defining baselining and delivering inputs (Change Requests) to CoE electrical.
    • Managing harness integration.
    • Operationally managing the S&A and EHI team assigned to the project.
    • Ensuring effective collaboration with Train System, Train Design, Train Control, RAMS, EMC experts, and Industrialization Electrical teams.
    • Overseeing internal and external activities, including workload, planning, work package reviews, and risk management.
    • Leading design and deliverables reviews.
    • Ensuring the integrity of baselining content for your scope.
    • Coordinating follow-ups with Project Engineering Managers (PrEM).
    • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the domain.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of railway electrical engineering.
  • Strong practical experience in electrical CAD tools (e.g., See One / Catia EHI).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in team or activity management.
  • Familiarity with train systems, functions, and the industrialization and manufacturing of harnesses.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
