Research Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Communicator to join our team at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. As a key member of our outreach and communication team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing outreach strategies to promote our research among non-specialist audiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with diverse audiences
- Write and edit content for various media platforms, including print, audio-visual, and digital media
- Manage and update digital content on our website and social media channels
- Promote and coordinate public events, including conferences, colloquia, and seminars
- Collaborate with our research teams to integrate public activities into our outreach and communication strategy
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline of the humanities, with a preference for historical disciplines
- Experience in writing and editing content for non-specialist audiences
- Experience in managing various formats of public communication, including poster design, podcasting, and social media
- Proven project management skills
- IT skills in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, with familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Content Management Systems an advantage
- Native or near-native fluency in verbal and written English, with a good knowledge of written German desirable
- Experience working in an international environment
- Excellent organizational, communicational, and interpersonal skills
