Research Liaison

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Communicator to join our team at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. As a key member of our outreach and communication team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing outreach strategies to promote our research among non-specialist audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with diverse audiences
- Write and edit content for various media formats, including print, audio-visual, and digital platforms
- Manage and update digital content on our website and social media channels
- Promote and coordinate public events, conferences, and seminars
- Collaborate with our research teams to integrate public activities into our outreach and communication strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any humanities discipline, with a preference for historical disciplines
- Experience in writing and editing content for non-specialist audiences
- Proven skills in project management and IT skills in using Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Native or near-native fluency in English, with a good knowledge of written German desirable
- Experience working in an international environment and excellent organizational, communicational, and interpersonal skills
