We have successfully launched our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, and are now preparing for our inaugural all-electric model. Our workforce of approximately 1500 employees, representing 44 nationalities, creates a vibrant and diverse international environment that emphasizes ownership, quality, and teamwork.
Your Responsibilities: In the role of Quality Cost Engineer, you will oversee the management of costs associated with field measures on a global scale. This includes leading teams to accurately gather and document costs, collaborating with various departments, and pinpointing opportunities for cost recovery. Your effectiveness will be gauged by your ability to collect costs promptly and work collaboratively across different functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership in Cost Management:
- Act as the Process Owner for Cost Engineering concerning Field Topics
- Aggregate and consolidate costs related to global field measures
- Work with various departments to ensure accurate cost data
- Identify potential cost recovery opportunities with suppliers
- Deliver financial insights and analyses to enhance cost efficiency
- Initiate chargebacks from suppliers in collaboration with Purchasing and Finance
Reporting and Oversight:
- Establish a strategy for efficient cost collection across different locations
- Collect and analyze cost data to produce comprehensive reports
- Monitor expenditures related to field actions against budgetary constraints
- Implement cost control measures and best practices
- Ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards
Committees and Decision-Making:
- Participate in discussions focused on field actions and recalls
- Engage in cross-functional communication and collaboration
- Facilitate the execution of cost control strategies
Business Impact:
- Assist in negotiations with suppliers for cost recovery
- Achieve high acceptance rates for supplier chargebacks
- Promote swift decision-making for cost recovery initiatives
Qualifications:
- Technical degree in economics, accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience in Quality Management within the Automotive sector
- 5-7 years of expertise in cost management and recovery processes
- Strong grasp of field actions and recalls
- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities
- High empathy and adaptability
- Fluent in English
