About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Layout Designer to join our engineering team at GULP – experts united. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and support of high-quality products that meet demanding engineering standards for discerning clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement PCB layouts for assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering teams locally and globally during board development, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Participate actively in design reviews and investigate, evaluate, and implement new PCB technologies and processes to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Provide technical coordination within the development, test, and manufacturing departments, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
  • Maintain the toolchain and support internal development, resolving PCB design issues with manufacturing and production vendors.
  • Contribute to the development and definition of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines, addressing manufacturing and electrical design issues.
Requirements
  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field (Bachelor of Science/FH degree, Master/University degree).
  • At least 3 years of experience in PCB layout design, with a strong understanding of driving PCB technology and process trends.
  • Experience in maintaining component libraries and working with state-of-the-art development and simulation tools.
  • Goal-oriented, responsible work style and proactive communication skills in project work.
  • Fluency in English, with knowledge of German desirable.
  • Experience with the Mentor Graphics design toolchain, including EDM, and signal and power integrity tools (e.g., HyperLynx SI/PI).
  • Basic expertise in industrial regulatory standards and safety.
