PCB Layout Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PCB Layout Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and implementation of cutting-edge embedded computer platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement PCB layouts for assigned projects, adhering to strict engineering standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, both locally and internationally, throughout the board development lifecycle.
  • Actively participate in design reviews, exploring and implementing new PCB technologies and processes.
  • Provide technical coordination within Engineering, Test, and Manufacturing departments.
  • Maintain the tool chain and provide support to internal engineering teams. Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors.
  • Contribute to the evolution and definition of Design For Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines, addressing manufacturing and electrical design challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in performing PCB layout design.
  • Familiarity with component library maintenance.
  • Understanding of current PCB technology and process trends.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art development and simulation tools.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Fluency in English; German language proficiency is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics design tool chain, including EDM.
  • Familiarity with signal and power integrity tools (HyperLynx SI/PI).
  • Basic expertise in industrial regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
