About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Subsystem Engineer to join our team at GMV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the highly reliable Data Services System (DaSS) of the Columbus Control Center (Col-CC).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot the current data subsystem of the Columbus project
- Coordinate with Level 3 contractors for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and error solution
- Propose system changes and upgrades necessary to keep the data system up to date
- Design, implement, and maintain a DTN testbed
- Provide mission-critical phase support
- Maintain system-related documentation
- Train Ground Control Team members
Requirements
- Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with high availability services
- Familiarity with network technology and Virtualization Skills
- Experience in creating and analyzing algorithms in Java, C/C++, and experience in development in C/C++, Java, Python/Perl, PHP, Maven
- Experience in scripting (bash, gnuplot)
- Knowledge of MySQL and MariaDB databases
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Understanding of hardware and software interfaces
