Position Overview:

The Director of Digital Commerce is tasked with crafting digital strategies, accelerating E-commerce growth, and implementing market adoption standards for the Digital division, supporting the Sales & Marketing teams globally. This role is crucial in shaping a comprehensive strategy aimed at boosting sales growth, enhancing customer loyalty, and increasing engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of collaboration across various levels and regions, managing multiple projects while possessing a deep understanding of the digital landscape. This leader will drive market adoption by defining marketing initiatives, product offerings, pricing strategies, and incentives to enhance customer retention and repeat purchases.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Success in this role is measured by generating profitable growth through digital commerce. The primary KPIs include:
  • Digital Revenue
  • Profit from Digital Revenue
  • Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS) / Return on Marketing Spend (ROMS)

The Director will leverage available marketplace tools and inform the development roadmap for both existing and new digital capabilities to foster profitable growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Global Branding, and other departments to integrate the digital landscape into our business model, utilizing a comprehensive understanding of consumer trends and technology.
  • Work in close partnership with the Technology team to implement digital initiatives on a global scale.
  • Engage actively in new business opportunities, strategically maximizing our competitive edge while fostering a forward-thinking approach to drive business growth.
  • Ensure the team adapts continuously to meet evolving business needs and opportunities, providing clear guidance to encourage calculated risks and achieve financial objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with commercial leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global teams to formulate a mobile strategic roadmap encompassing search, media, catalogs, websites, and applications.
  • Ensure consistency across Tupperware Brands entities regarding strategies, plans, consumer websites, and social media.
  • Create a compelling, cohesive consumer experience that enhances brand visibility and engages both new and existing customers, particularly Millennials and Gen Z. Streamline global customer relationship programs and Omni-channel strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing and Branding teams to ensure brand messaging is consistent across all digital platforms.
  • Develop frameworks, policies, and guidelines for social media to ensure brand leverage across business units, sales teams, and consumers.
  • Coordinate existing and new digital roadmaps, social media strategies, and internet platforms across markets.
  • Collaborate with specialized app developers to create applications that connect products with recipes, usage tips, and other kitchen tools.
  • Stay updated on digital trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential relevance for Tupperware.
  • Anticipate future needs and trends, working with technology teams to drive innovation and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Remain informed about changing technologies, collaborating with IT disciplines to ensure timely adoption of new solutions.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), or manufacturing sectors.
  • 8-12 years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Proven experience in leading and launching E-commerce strategies for the EMEA market from the ground up; a startup background is advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of P&L management and forecasting for E-commerce-related projects, with the ability to present insights to executive leadership.
  • Experience in implementing and launching global digital platforms is a plus.
  • Highly proactive, adaptable, and agile.
  • Exceptional influencing and communication skills, with a history of successful interactions at all organizational levels, including executive management.
  • Strong leadership and talent development capabilities.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Experience managing multiple units, channels, and regions.
  • Senior management experience in houseware, kitchenware, or home/domestic sectors, including specialized retail.
