Your Role

As a Customs Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing our products by adapting and changing recipes in compliance with customs and excise regulations. You will be the contact person for all questions relating to customs tariff law for the Group-wide specialist departments and provide support with your knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize products by adapting and changing recipes in compliance with customs and excise regulations
  • Provide support with customs tariff law knowledge for the Group-wide specialist departments
  • Classify products as part of the master data material system in SAP and check and monitor classified products in cooperation with Sourcing, Production, Quality, and RPD
  • Systematically check tariff classification of active materials and apply for (non)binding tariff information from customs authorities
  • Set up and develop an automated tariff classification system as part of a global tariff classification tool and embed it in SAP
  • Assess internal and external company processes with regard to customs tariff and excise tax aspects
  • Document process steps in our internal company system and drive quality and optimization in your area of responsibility
  • Work on projects to further automate processes in the area of customs, foreign trade, and excise tax law, preference calculation, or tax warehouse processing

Your Profile

We are looking for a professional with sound experience in development, quality assurance, or production, ideally from the food industry. You should have knowledge of customs law and tariff classification or be willing to familiarize yourself with this area. Experience in European excise law is a plus.
