About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our team at msg. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various tax-related tasks, including tax research, tax planning, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and submit tax research grants and fulfill necessary documentation requirements
  • Act as the central point of contact for tax research grants, ensuring compliance with FZulG and other funding regulations
  • Provide expert advice to colleagues on setting up, pricing, executing, and documenting funded research projects
  • Defend msg's costs in price reviews, working closely with functional control units and project leaders
  • Coordinate external marketing efforts with project leaders to generate additional revenue for our group
  • Collaborate on other tax-related topics, including project work

Requirements

  • Completed degree in a technical, natural science, or business-related field, preferably with expertise in German tax and commercial law
  • Several years of experience in taxation, finance/controlling, ideally with some experience in the funding world; lateral entrants are also welcome
  • With your analytical thinking and enthusiasm for learning new and complex topics, you are a motivated and self-responsible team player who successfully masters challenges with your organizational talent
  • You take a proactive approach, have a sense of priorities, are communicative, and can listen well
