Indirect Tax Expert

Xylem Water Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global tax strategy team, you will play a crucial role in providing indirect tax advice to various business groups and ensuring the efficient management of VAT compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage VAT compliance and ensure the efficient management of VAT tax audits
- Coordinate VAT compliance and ensure the efficient management of VAT tax audits
- Develop a coherent and proactive indirect tax strategy to effectively manage and identify VAT risks
- Act as a center of excellence within Xylem for indirect tax issues, providing technical assistance and updating finance teams on developments in indirect tax
- Ensure VAT rules and documentation are incorporated into Xylem's procedures
- Maintain strong relationships with growth centers and interface with outside tax consultants and other professional associates
- 4+ years of tax or indirect tax experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, and customs
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, ideally combined with a tax degree or certification
- Experience with European statutory and GAAP (IFRS) reporting, as well as VAT reporting standards
- Experience in a complex, US multinational environment
- Business fluent English, German would be great, additional languages nice to have
