Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatician to join our team at EMBL. As a Bioinformatician, you will be responsible for establishing and curating a FAIR data repository for primary and derived data from INTeRCePT collaborators.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data management systems to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Develop and maintain interfaces for data visualization and browsing, and perform data transformations to make them suitable for machine learning / AI methods.
- Collaborate with researchers to identify data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Engage with the broader scientific community to contribute to open source tools and training material.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in bioinformatics and research software engineering.
Requirements
- University degree in the natural or life sciences, and experience with biological data analysis.
- Knowledge of R and Python, with experience in at least one and basic knowledge in the other.
- Experience in scientific computing and data management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
