Technical Sales Consultant

WalkMe has revolutionized the Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) to enable organizations to harness the full potential of technology in today's complex digital landscape. Our platform provides guidance, engagement, insights, and seamless automation, enhancing employee efficiency, executive visibility into digital usage, and maximizing the value of digital assets to drive digital transformation.
As a Solutions Consultant, also referred to as a "Pre-sales Consultant," "Sales Consultant," or "Sales Engineer," you will play a crucial role in the sales process by delivering expert insights on WalkMe's Digital Adoption Platform and aligning customer objectives with the platform's capabilities. You will foster technical relationships with stakeholders to ensure confidence in WalkMe's solutions, ultimately becoming a trusted advisor to our clients in their digital transformation journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs and position WalkMe as the optimal solution by delivering innovative demonstrations for prospects, customers, and partners, both in-person and virtually.
- Articulate and showcase, in terms that resonate with the customer, how WalkMe's DAP capabilities enhance their business and fulfill technical requirements.
- Present value propositions to C-Level executives and lead technical discussions with IT departments, demonstrating WalkMe's business value and technical alignment.
- Contribute to WalkMe's market strategies by providing technical insights and guidance to sales teams and key business partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s industry and technology, architecting tailored solutions with WalkMe.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and install solutions while conducting demonstrations, workshops, and custom Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Create technical specifications and documentation to support proposed solutions, illustrating business concepts and technical architectures.
- Serve as a valued resource throughout the customer decision-making process.
- Efficiently respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Provide field insights and feedback to inform future product enhancements and requirements.
- Work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of independent work.
- Support marketing initiatives by presenting at events to drive engagement.
- Travel may be required as part of the role.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in solution engineering, consultancy, or delivery of enterprise software solutions.
- Significant experience with SaaS solutions in roles such as Sales Engineer or Solution Architect, particularly with enterprise software products.
- Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs, identify business challenges, and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, suitable for both executive and technical audiences.
- Quick learner of new technologies, comfortable discussing them with customers and presenting at events.
- Passionate about technology and knowledge sharing, with a practical and curious mindset.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit and a focus on achieving success together.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
- Willingness to work in an office environment at least three days a week.
Preferred Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with SAP ERP and related business processes.
- Understanding of core SaaS platforms (CRM, ERP, HRMS, etc.) and industry standards.
- Knowledge of value selling methodologies.
- Awareness of web and mobile technologies.
- Experience with SaaS enterprise architecture.
