Position SummaryWe are looking for a talented Technical Specialist to contribute to our Project Sales team. This role involves managing the technical components of international equity transactions, working closely with the Head of Project Sales. Your technical expertise will be essential in crafting and executing high-quality transaction documents and engaging with investors. Join us in shaping the future of renewable energy.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Specialist, you will play a vital role in multiple international equity transactions, reporting to the Head of Project Sales:
- Lead the technical facets of sales processes, either internally or with external advisors, as directed.
- Oversee the preparation of materials for advisors, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to produce high-quality transaction documents (IM, Model, VDD, etc.).
- Facilitate the transfer of essential development information from the Development team to the Engineering team, confirming project readiness.
- Evaluate the quality of technical assumptions and layouts to ensure they meet investor diligence standards.
- Scrutinize construction and operational details of projects for sale, including pricing, contract terms, and timelines.
- Ensure the reliability of technical inputs in financial models and development optimization scenarios.
- Assist in reviewing transaction documentation from a technical standpoint.
- Support a Senior Transaction Manager in negotiating technical aspects with investors, involving internal experts as necessary.
In collaboration with the Head of Project Sales and Senior Transaction Manager, you will also assist with:
- Preparing requests for proposals (RfPs) for advisors and selecting appropriate partners.
- Securing transaction budget approvals.
- Evaluating the commercial viability and risks of proposed transactions during the preparation phase, contributing to board and investment committee documentation.
- Providing transaction updates and summaries as needed.
Maintain essential technical advisory relationships and stay informed about industry trends and standards related to technical matters. Share insights from transactions with colleagues and support the reporting of M&A activities by facilitating information flow between Project Sales and EPC departments. Establish and manage a technical knowledge repository for the Project Sales team, documenting key principles, assumptions, and lessons learned.
Candidate Profile- Demonstrated experience in managing technical aspects of equity transactions in the renewable energy field.
- Strong grasp of project development, engineering principles, and financial modeling.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at collaborating with diverse teams.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with EPC/O&M contracts and construction oversight.
- Robust analytical skills to evaluate commercial risks and opportunities.
