We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations Germany to join our team at FREE NOW. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our operations in Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute strategies to increase driver engagement and retention, while managing our high-performing German team. Ensure clear targets and strategies are in place.
- Process Optimization: Oversee the optimization of local operational processes and procedures across our main pillars of Service Quality, Business Development, and Customer Operations.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture critical relationships with stakeholders, including drivers, fleet owners, unions, brand partners, and local communities.
- Growth and Development: Take ownership of our growth in Germany, ensuring both local operations and HQ teams support and collaborate actively to meet business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including Product, Marketplace Performance, Business Analytics, to enhance business development.
- Stakeholder Representation: Represent the voice of German/Austrian drivers in interactions with senior management and central stakeholders, and be a strong sparring partner for key decision makers at FREE NOW.
- Experience: Ideally 5+ years of work experience in Tech, Operations, or Consulting/Strategy. You can make up less experience with drive, intelligence, and integrity.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and lead remote/hybrid teams.
- Work Approach: Logical, structured, and efficient work approach to meet deadlines and communicate progress.
- Business Mindset: Self-starter with a business-driven mindset, able to develop strong relationships with commercial stakeholders and take ownership or bring great ideas to the table.
- Analysis and Automation: Skilled in analysis and automation frameworks to identify trends and patterns in data. Tableau, Python, SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English and German, both verbal and written, able to influence and communicate to teams outside of direct management line.
- Industry Experience: Experience in mobility or other logistics marketplaces.
- Startup Experience: Experience in startup companies and/or fast-paced environments.
