We are seeking a highly skilled Research Software Engineer to join our team at the Universität Stuttgart. As a member of our research group, you will contribute to the development of a high-quality, well-documented, and easily accessible open-source framework for complex flow simulations.

About the Project

The project, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), aims to establish a trustworthy CFD code and its ecosystem as a high-quality, well-documented, and easily accessible open-source framework for complex flow simulations. Your tasks will include:

  • Support and guidance of software engineering activities within the project, with a focus on enhancing usability and reproducibility of developed software.
  • Support and promote quality assurance and control in software codes produced within the project.
  • Onboarding and training of researchers involved in the project with regards to research data management and software engineering.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual with a strong background in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. You should have excellent writing skills, a track record of topical peer-reviewed academic publications, and fluency in English. Command of German is appreciated.
