About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join our German Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing product line strategies and managing key defend/grow opportunities across several German national and international accounts, driving sustainable growth year on year. This role requires strong technical understanding of specialty chemicals and polymers, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute business strategy for selected market segments and targeted accounts.
- Grow and manage current key direct accounts.
- Identify core growth accounts and build exceptional customer relationships.
- Support growth initiatives for the business and introduction of new products.
- Develop, negotiate, and close sales contracts and agreements.
- Communicate effectively throughout the organization.
- Comply timely and accurately with administrative requirements, such as call reports, sales forecasting, and expense reports.
- Provide market information and trends for the company to further develop.
Requirements:
- A good understanding of Lubrizol, its products, and service offering, and the value these bring to its customers.
- A University degree, preferably in Chemical or Technical.
- Several years of direct technical/specialty chemical sales experience.
- Strong technical understanding of specialty chemicals and polymers, and their applications in lubricants, fuels, and industrial fluids.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills.
- Fluency in German and English (spoken and written).
- Good at office IT applications.
- Willing to travel (up to 40-50% in Germany, The Nordics & The Baltics).
