International Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled International Tax Manager to join our finance team at sennder, a leading digital freight forwarder. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and managing complex tax projects across various sennder countries, entities, and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and/or lead tax analysis for high-priority tax projects, including VAT, transfer pricing, WHT, and tax risk management & controls.
- Oversee material tax risks and topics in local sennder entities.
- Manage the corporate income tax compliance process, including improvement recommendations.
- Oversee documentation for global transfer pricing transactions, including coordination with the central transfer pricing preparation team.
- Contribute to continuous automation efforts for corporate income tax and transfer pricing.
- Support interdepartmental and cross-border cooperation and data sharing.
- Assist in the management of income tax audits.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Big4 advisors.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of strong international tax experience, including Big 4 and/or relevant in-house experience, with VAT or M&A as a strong point.
- Education in Accounting, Tax, or Finance, with specific tax qualifications a plus.
- Fluent in English, with German a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Experience collaborating with team members across geographies and building relationships with stakeholders in commercial, financial, and legal functions.
