We are seeking a highly skilled Production Control Manager to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all production control functions, including master scheduling, work order management, planning, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and supervise the efforts of production control and GCSS-A production control clerks to ensure accurate reporting of equipment and material status.
- Manage and facilitate all aspects of production and material control, including scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory management.
- Direct and supervise the use of GCSS-A to accomplish all maintenance missions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, coordinate, and oversee the activities within production planning and material control, establishing sequences and timeframes for manufacturing operations.
- Plan, prepare, issue, and control production requirements, coordinating production schedules and resource allocation for multiple programs and products.
- Develop and maintain production schedules, advising on capability to support delivery requirements for upcoming and proposed efforts.
- Supervise and coordinate changes in scheduling to accommodate special requests and/or emergency conditions, establishing operational priorities as needed.
- Coordinate material movement between supply inventories and production areas, supervising material and supply inventories.
- Identify raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules, confirming material supply and demands.
- Supervise and oversee labor resources and short-term capacity requirements from engineering plans and production specifications, preparing and maintaining an overall master schedule.
- Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Assist with 'make or buy' decisions based on scheduling and delivery requirements, developing new business through expansion of existing work or through new opportunities.
- Resolve operational issues, accepting and performing other duties as assigned based on workload and requirements.
- Report information as tasked by the customer, meeting and maintaining all base access security requirements.
- A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, or an associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, or a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, or 11 years of recent specialized experience.
- Tactical Supply and Maintenance Systems Course.
- GCSS-A Warehouse and Materiel Management Course.
- Ability to access and handle all end items, components, subsystems, and repair parts with a sensitive or classified coding.
- Must be able to qualify for and operate Government-provided light vehicles.
- SECRET security clearance.
