Senior Data Architect

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team at WEPA. As a key member of our digital innovation centre, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex data architectures.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement large-scale data solutions, including data lakes, SQL databases, and big data infrastructures.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Lead the integration and management of streaming analytics platforms, such as Kafka and Apache Flink.
- Promote the use and optimization of Cosmos DB and related database systems.
- Use business intelligence tools to transform data into actionable business insights.
- Drive the company's data strategy within the Azure cloud environment.
- Implement and promote best practices in data architecture and technology.
- Work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams to fulfill data-related requirements.
- Collaborate on a variety of digital technology projects, including Industry 4.0 and Robotic Process Automation.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data architecture or a similar role.
- Demonstrated success in designing and rolling out large-scale data solutions.
- Prior experience with Azure Cloud is essential.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Mastery in SQL and Python, with a solid grasp of Cosmos DB and related database systems.
- Expertise in data modeling and architecture.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical action plans.
- Comprehensive understanding of big data ecosystems, including data lakes and streaming analytics.
- Practical experience with Kafka, Apache Flink, and other data streaming platforms.
- In-depth familiarity with Azure Cloud and its suite of data services.
- Strong proponent of agile methodologies and practices.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in the data domain.
