Senior Treasury Accountant

Our Treasury accounting division is tasked with overseeing, documenting, and recording all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset management. We tackle various ongoing accounting and reporting challenges within our ERP systems, such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, in collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders. Our team plays a vital role in supporting month-end activities, financial reporting, and upcoming audits.
Key Responsibilities
As a Treasury Accountant (m/f/d), you will manage all accounting functions for ABOUT YOU Group. Your role is highly process-driven, focusing on identifying and implementing optimization opportunities. Additionally, you will engage in various Treasury areas to foster your professional growth.
- Manage the processing of bank statements
- Ensure account reconciliations and the balancing of open positions are performed, investigating and resolving discrepancies as necessary
- Handle guarantees, intra-group loans, and loans to related parties
- Prepare weekly payment runs
- Oversee the month-end closing process
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS by providing essential documentation and explanations
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of executed foreign exchange hedges
- Be responsible for AWV reporting to Deutsche Bundesbank
- Play a crucial role in the implementation of a new ERP system
- Maintain constant communication with internal teams, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure the quality of all accounting operations
- Act as the primary contact for our stakeholders
Qualifications
- Completed training as an Accountant or a comparable university degree
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the accounting field, preferably within Treasury
- Proficient knowledge of SAP 4 Hana and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Software
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using Microsoft tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Experience in ERP system implementation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (essential) and German (preferred)
