BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a proactive and results-oriented professional to take on the role of Key Account Manager. This position is based in our Luxembourg Technical Center and involves significant commercial responsibilities for designated customer accounts.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall commercial accountability for assigned customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to devise and execute strategies aimed at enhancing existing business and securing new opportunities with OEMs.
  • Lead the coordination of new business quotations, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Manage customer account performance metrics, implement pricing strategies, and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Represent BorgWarner in a professional manner to all customers.
  • Align account activities with broader customer strategies to support long-term business objectives.
  • Negotiate customer contracts to facilitate business unit growth.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial processes, including thorough contract reviews.
  • Maintain adherence to sales processes and improve account information management.

Key Account Manager Duties:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive customer strategies that enhance profitability and growth.
  • Understand market share, competitive positioning, and profitability for each assigned account.
  • Work with sales management to establish pricing strategies that reflect market conditions and customer value.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and develop proactive new business opportunity plans.
  • Monitor market dynamics, including competitor developments, and provide relevant insights to sales management.
  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction, tracking performance on key supplier metrics and pursuing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Generate sales forecasts for long-range planning and adjust monthly forecasts based on market trends.
  • Coordinate global customer issues as required.
  • Serve as the primary contact for commercial matters and requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in collaboration with the Program Manager to address customer needs.
  • Participate in exhibitions, marketing events, and fairs, representing the business unit positively.
  • Adhere to quality procedures and maintain excellence in quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in sales with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Proven negotiation skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience in managing teams effectively.

Travel Requirements:

Travel may be necessary to effectively manage designated customer accounts.

Candidates should possess relevant professional experience post-graduation, preferably in the automotive, OEM, or Tier 1 sectors.
